This clinic is a hands-on event for the creation of an employee handbook. Utilizing an electronic template, each attendee will be able to create or revise their personnel policies with the direction and assistance of Human Capital staff.
Attendees of this clinic will:- Identify the key elements of an Employee Handbook
- Determine the federal and state regulations that apply to your company
- Consider the policies you want to include in your “house rules” portion of the handbook
- Create or revise your handbook using a computer and handbook template provided for this class.

- Safety Plan Clinic Safety Plan Clinic This clinic is a hands-on event for the creation of a workplace safety plan. Utilizing an electronic template, each attendee will be able to create or revise their safety management practices with the direction and assistance of Human Capital staff. Interactive discussion will cover resources for writing (rewriting) your company’s safety and health plan; preparing for emergencies; assessing job hazards; developing a successful training program. The goals and objectives of a workplace safety program will be reviewed and a plan utilizing the tools for creating and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace will be prepared during the clinic.
- OSHA Record Keeping Requirements OSHA Record Keeping Requirements Failing to keep accurate records on the OSHA injury log could cost your business $1000 or more. Designed to help managers avoid fines and citations, this workshop reviews recordkeeping process and requirements. Participants will learn good recordkeeping practices including how to identify what is and is not reportable and recordable; how to properly log entries onto the OSHA 300 injury/illness log; and how to make changes and corrections to the required forms. The session also covers posting requirements and the annual survey of occupational injuries and illnesses.

- Warehouse Safety Warehouse Safety Warehouses are busy and dangerous environments in which to work. Recently, there has been a large increase of injuries to warehouse workers. Some of the top causes of worker injuries in warehouses are forklifts overturning, manual handling and lifting, people being struck by powered equipment, slips and falls, and chemical splashes. This program is tailored to fit the needs of the customer. Some of the topics included are Materials Handling/Lifting/Ergonomics, Walking Surfaces and Working Environment, Powered Industrial Trucks, Exit Routes/Fire Prevention, Hazard Communications and other topics as required. Length of program will vary according to customer needs.
